P3: Private-Public Partnerships Revealed
Luncheon
As the economy continues its slow recovery, agencies and institutions are challenged with limited revenues while at the same time experiencing greater demand to provide infrastructure, programs, and services.
Public entities have begun utilizing alternative methods of funding such as Public Private Partnerships (P3s) as one potential solution. P3s involve an arrangement where the private sector supplies assets and services that traditionally have been provided by the government. P3s are currently being used or considered as a mechanism to fund a wide variety of project nationwide including numerous Federal and state road and building projects in central Texas.
Our panel will share their experience with P3s from
a federal, contracting, development and financing perspective.
The discussion will explore questions such as “When do P3s make
sense?” and “How do I pursue a P3?” This event will be informative to
owners exploring additional options for projects, and for
contractors, developers, and design firms wanting to become involved in new
construction.
